This is a sample policy only, please contact me to view other policies and procedures I have in place. Free flow play has been proven to be more beneficial to children as it more closely reflects the ‘at home ‘experience. When children have more choice and freedom to move between spaces they develop greater independence and remain happier. Children are happier and achieve more if they experience free access to outdoor play that is well planned. Free flow play means the door to the garden will be open and children will be able to choose where to play. I will encourage them to dress appropriately and will maintain supervision levels at all times. I will provide well planned age/stage appropriate activities 20% will be adult led and 80% will be child initiated. Free flow play will be offered on a daily basis and for extended periods of time. Parents will be requested to provide appropriate clothing to facilitate this sun hats, warm jumpers, coats etc.
